Q. What is made to order?
A. My dresses do not come straight from the rack. They are made as soon as you place the order.I am a small business owner and unlike large clothing manufacturers, I do not purchase supplies in bulk. I keep enough supplies to prepare for a few dresses at a time, and having your dress made to order gives me a time allowance to place a direct order with suppliers in case I run out of stock.
Q. What is the average wait time to receive our orders?
A. It typically takes me a 3-4 days to complete a dress. But times will vary when I have multiple orders or if I am running low on supply, so I give myself a week to complete the dress and it usually ships immediately once it is finished. A normal wait time to receive your order will be about 2 weeks, including delivery time.
Q. What makes your dresses different than those bought off the rack?
A. All my dresses are personally designed and handcrafted. They are products that I carried through starting from the idea, to the creation, up until photographing the finished product. The styles are very unique, unlike dresses that are carried in stores that are mass produced in the hundreds or even thousands, only a few little girls in the world will own one.
Q. What kind of materials do you use?
A. All my dresses are made of a soft stretchy crochet fabric, and premium nylon tulle. The embellishments are made of a variety of satin, organza, feathers and rhinestones. Each dress has 3 layers of soft tulle which makes the dress very fluffy and comfortable.
Q. How does your sizing work?
A. I carry dress sizes from 2 - 8, which is an equivalent of 2T - youth 8. To know your size, you will need to measure from the waist down in inches to determine the length of the dress. The bodice is stretchy and can stretch up to 28 inches around the chest and waist. Of course if you are concerned about ordering the correct size, you can always give me your measurements by contacting me via my contact page.
Q. How do you care for the dresses?
A. My dresses are very delicate. I would not recommend washing them, but you may hand wash with gentle detergent if necessary. I would recommend a spot clean only and spraying with water and fabric softener.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. I accept all major credit cards, paypal, and even etsy gift cards if you purchase from my etsy shop "Stylin Pretty Boutique" or my personal store giftcards you can purchase through www.emmariejackson.com.
